Journey into the future of Urban with Rawnaq! Inspired by the elegance of Arabian Pigeon Towers, join us in unveiling the visionary dome-making. Designed by award-winning Concept Designer and Architect, Mr. Ahmed Alkattan. The Winner Urban Commissions 2023, in partnership with Designest and innofab45, at Dubai Design District.
Embark on a futuristic urban journey with Rawnaq as we delve into the intricacies of the Dome Making project. The innovative materials utilized in this endeavor include state-of-the-art CNC machines, along with GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) featuring a concrete finish, and EPS (Expanded Polystyrene). Inspired by the timeless elegance of Arabian Pigeon Towers, we invite you to witness the unveiling of our visionary dome-making initiative.
The heart of our Dome-Making project lies in the innovative materials carefully selected for their durability, versatility, and aesthetic appeal. The primary components include Styrofoam, Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), and Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GRC). These materials are the building blocks of our futuristic domes, ensuring a harmonious blend of strength and aesthetics.
Styrofoam: Serving as the lightweight and insulating core of our domes, Styrofoam provides an efficient and eco-friendly foundation. Its unique properties make it an ideal choice for creating the structural framework of our domes.
GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic): This advanced material features a concrete finish, adding a touch of urban sophistication to our domes. GRP ensures structural integrity while allowing for intricate designs, bringing a modern twist to the traditional concept of dome architecture.
GRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete): Known for its strength and durability, GRC complements the GRP by enhancing the structural robustness of our domes. Together, these materials form a powerful synergy, creating domes that stand the test of time.
Rawnaq’s Dome-Making project employs state-of-the-art CNC machines to achieve precision and intricacy in every detail. These machines play a crucial role in shaping the Styrofoam core and carving out the intricate patterns that define the aesthetic appeal of our domes. The marriage of traditional inspiration and modern technology results in domes that are not only visually stunning but also structurally sound.
